Duncan Odoyo was born in 2012 to a single mother, Emily Anyango. She later died and Duncan was moved to live with his grandfather. His grandfather was a peasant farmer, but has not been in good health and unable to provide for Duncan or the two other children that he cares for. Providing food and other basic needs is a challenge, not to mention paying for school fees for all three children.

While at home, Duncan is only able to take 2 meals daily. Before joining GGCC, Duncan was learning at Sena primary school.

Duncan was vetted to join GGCC as orphaned and vulnerable child in January of 2019. He is so happy to be at GGCC. While in school, he will get all the three meals and learn without any interruptions of being sent home and missing classes. This will boost his academic performance and concentration.

He would like to work hard and become a Doctor. He is in good health and enjoys playing with his peers.
