Delex was born in 2005 and comes from Kakrigu Village of Mfangano Island. He is one of six children and is the second born in their family. Delex lives with both of his parents and his father works as a fisherman, while his mother takes care of their home and children.

Even though his father works, fishing often does not bring in enough income to support such a large family. There have been times when the family lacked enough food for 3 meals a day. Delex also missed school when his parents could not afford to pay his school fees. He would miss classes and his academic performance suffered because of that.

Before joining GGCC, Delex was attending Kakiimba Secondary School. Since joining GGCC in 2023 in the 10^th grade, Delex has seen many changes in his life. Most importantly, he has received Christ as his Lord and Savior and is walking with him daily. Delex is also now able to concentrate on his academics knowing he won’t miss school for lack of payment. He loves GGCC because of the conducive learning environment and resources available to him for learning, the platform to nurture his soccer talent, and the hope he has found in Christ.

Delex’s favorite hobbies are playing soccer, reading novels, and watching TV. Delex would love to be a lawyer after finishing his education.
