Cyprian was born on August 24, 2005 in Wakiangata village of Mfangano North location on Mfangano Island. He is the third born child in a family of eight children. His father died in 2019, leaving Cyprian and his siblings under the care of their mother whose only source of income is as a peasant farmer. Life was not easy even when his father was alive, but it has become even more difficult since his father’s passing. Peasant farming is seasonal and weather dependent and many times this family has gone without. His mother has a hard time putting food on the table, much less pass for her children to attend school. Some of them have dropped out of school before finishing their high school education.

Four of Cyprian’s younger siblings are attending Wakiangata Primary School where Cyprian was also enrolled prior to enrolling at GGCC. Cyprian completed the 8^th grade and scored 322 marks on his national exam. He was admitted to GGCC in August 2021 in grade 9 as orphaned and vulnerable child. He and his mother are grateful to God for this opportunity. Cyprian likes the school environment and the quality education being offered at GGCC. He believes his life will forever be changed because of this chance to learn at GGCC. He knows he will be able to concentrate on his studies and his most basic needs for food and shelter will be met. He has aspirations of becoming a neurosurgeon. He loves studying biology. He also appreciates the spiritual teaching and guidance offered at the school.

During his leisure time, Cyprian likes playing soccer and volleyball. He is in good health.
