School Grade 6

Brighton is the second born in a family of six children, four boys and two girls. He was born in 2010 in Lukoma village of Mfangano West location. His family is unique in that he has two sets of twins. His elder sibling, Joel is learning at Gulwe primary school in grade 5. The next two siblings are twins, Leone and Rovety, and are also learning at Gulwe primary school in KG2. The last two are also twins, Merab and Dickens, who are still young and are not school age yet.

Brighton’s mother died in 2017 leaving Brighton and his siblings under the care of his father. Life has been difficult as the father has a business that is seasonal and is unable to make enough during the busy seasons to provide for the family’s needs throughout the year. 

Brighton was vetted to join GGCC in January of 2018 in KG3 as an orphaned and vulnerable child. Brighton and his father are so grateful for the opportunity. Brighton would like to work hard so become a pilot. During his free time, he likes playing football.
