Brent's father died in 1998 and after his mother's death in November of 2011, the Assistant Chief of Wakula South took Brent and his older brother in to live with him.

While at his relative's home, he sleeps on a mat with no mattress. He hooks fish and brings food to the family.

At GGCC, Brent easily socializes with other children and knows other children there that have come from his village, which has helped him to adjust more readily to a new environment. His favorite subject is math and he thinks he would like to become a teacher. He likes to play soccer and other ball games. He also likes he fact that his older sister is also at GGCC in grade 8.

Brent joined GGCC in 2012.
