Billy Motrix is the third born child in a family of 3 children. He was born in 2012 in Wasamo village, Mfangano west location.  Billy has faced a lot of difficulties and grief in his short life, as both of his parents as well as one of his siblings have passed away. Billy has faced challenges related to his own health challenges as well.

Billy lives with his grandmother who is older and also a widow. She struggles to provide both fees for his school as well as 3 meals a day. Often times, Billy and his grandmother only have two meals a day. His older sibling, Mourice, lives with another relative who is trying to help take care of these vulnerable children. In addition to the food challenges they face, Billy’s grandmother is not always able to get the medication Billy needs or be able to pay for his school fees regularly. His health has suffered as well as his academic achievement.

When he was able to attend school, Billy was learning at Wasamo Primary School in grade 2 before joining GGCC. He was admitted to GGCC in August of 2021 in grade 2 as orphaned and vulnerable child. He is so happy to join GGCC; a school he has admired. His grandmother is so grateful to God for the opportunity given to her grandson to learn. She knows that at GGCC he will not be sent home due to lack of levies or scholastic materials. He will enjoy all the three meals which he was not getting at home, and this will boost his nutritional growth. He will also get the proper care and medication administration from the house parents.

Billy would like to become a police officer when he grows up. During his leisure time, he likes playing soccer with his peers. His best subject is Mathematics.
