School Grade 8

Bill is the second born child in a family of four children. He was born in 2004 in Wasamo village, Mfangano West location in Mfangano Division. His father, who was the breadwinner, died and left Bill and his siblings under the care of their mother who did not work.

Bill’s first-born sibling, Viola is enrolled at GGCC in grade seven. The third born, Avil, is learning at Mbita. The last born, Humphrey, is yet to start school. Bill was learning at Mawanga primary school before joining GGCC.

With Bill’s mother not working, she faced many challenges in providing for her family. She did not have the funds for food, much less for school. When Bill was in school, he was often sent home because of lack of payment. His performance dropped because of all of the interruptions in his schooling.

Bill joined GGA in January of 2018 as an orphaned and vulnerable child. He was admitted in grade two. He is happy to join GGCC and be together with her sister Viola. At GGCC, he will be able to concentrate on his academics and increase his performance because he won’t miss any more school.

During his leisure time, Bill likes playing football with his peers.

Bill has eye problems and has to use the glasses for reading.
