Anjeline A. 1671

Grade Female: Kindergarten - 8th Gr.

School Grade 5

Anjeline was born on July 20, 2010 in Gulwe village, Wakula North location. She is the second born child in a family of four children. Both of her parents are alive. Her father who is the breadwinner is a peasant farmer, but the seasonality and unpredictability of this job makes it very difficult for him to provide for his family. They often only have enough for two meals a day. Angeline and her siblings have also missed school because they couldn’t afford to pay the school fees and buy the materials they needed. The interruption in attending school combined with the lack of food at home is not good for physical, social or academic growth. They also do not have electricity at home, which further adds to the burden they face.

Anjeline and her siblings were all attending Gulwe Primary School. The oldest, Gideon, is in grade 5. The third born, Samuel is in grade 2 and the youngest, Janet, is in PP1.

Anjeline was admitted to GGCC in 2022 in grade 3 as a vulnerable child. Her father and mother are very grateful for the opportunity granted to Anjeline to learn at GGCC. Anjeline is equally happy and excited to learn at GGCC. She likes the school environment, the friendly teachers, and pupils. At GGCC, Anjeline will study without missing her classes and this will help her to concentrate on her academics. She will get all three meals a day as well. She would like to become a doctor when she grows up. During her leisure time, she likes playing soccer and she is in good health.
